Tell us a bit about yourself.

Hey there, my name is Jimmy-John, I grew up in a beachtown and currently live in Brussels, Belgium. My background is communications, I enjoy playing around with a camera. Content creation, photography and video editing are my current activities. I'm a passionate traveller and always have been.

How long have you been nomadic and what inspired this lifestyle change?

I'm a part-time nomad since about a year and a half. It's not a finality, but being location independent is also part of the flexibility I'm working towards.

What has been the most challenging part so far?

Combining and discerning private from professional. Sometimes working at home is not a good idea. I'm also related to a co-working back home. The feeling of not being on my own, to be part of a community, is key.

Any crazy/fun stories you'd like to share?

I met my significant other on Tinder.

How does Outsite fit into your current lifestyle?

Outsite offers me a place to go every once in a while to escape the routine, get a bit culture and practice my passion for wave surfing every once in a while. It's usually calm, inspiring and community driven.

Any advice for 9-to-5 workers looking to make the leap to nomadism?

Spending a lifetime sitting on a chair pretending to be doing important stuff is the number one risk at this level.
