Post-Covid, how easy is it to travel to Bali? What are the current rules?
Yes, Bali and Indonesia is open to vaccinated travelers from the United States, United Kingdom, and most countries within Europe.
You do not need to apply for a visa in advance if you are an American citizen travelling to Bali. You will need to apply for the visa on arrival when you arrive on Bali/Indonesia. Check out more on Indonesian visa resources here.
UK citizens can visit Bali for up to 30 days with a visa on arrival. You will need to apply for this on arrival in Bali/Indonesia. See Gov.UK for up to date travel advice.
Citizens of the following countries can travel to Indonesia with a VOA as of April 2022.
Visa-on-arrival services are now open and running in Indonesia.
You will need to have had your full course of Covid-19 vaccinations at least 14 days before you arrive on Bali. You will also need to present a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of your arrival, test on arrival, and quarantine in your own accommodation before receiving a negative result. Make sure to check Indonesia.travel before travelling.
As of April 2022, you do not need to quarantine on arrival in Indonesia.
You will need to wear a mask indoors in Bali.
