Airport Transfer
Driving by Car
It takes 15 minutes to drive from Aeropuerto João Paulo II (PDL) to Outsite Fenais, depending on traffic.
Uber/Lyft/Taxi
There is taxi service, it costs around 18-20 EUR. Taxis are waiting at the airport.
Public Transit
We don't recommend taking the bus from the airport.
Parking
Free parking is available at Outsite.
Getting Around
Exploring on Foot You will need a car to fully explore São Miguel and reach the island's main attractions. Many of the best spots — crater lakes, hot springs, and viewpoints — are 20-40 minutes away by car, and public transport won't get you there easily.
Rideshare Apps Uber and similar apps are limited or unavailable outside Ponta Delgada, so we recommend renting a car ahead of your stay.
Public Transit There is a bus service less than 1 minute walk from the door. We are well connected to Ponta Delgada city. Costs around 2.5EUR one way and takes about 40 minutes.

Groceries
Mini Mercado Capeto is just a 2-3 minute walk from Outsite, right on the main road (EN1-1A). Here you can yo buy most food basics, as well as limited fresh fruit and vegetables. For a full grocery we recommend to drive about 10-15 minutes from Outsite to a larger supermarket in Rabo de Peixe or Ponta Delgada.
Nearest Bank
There isn't one in Fenais da Luz itself, it's a small village without a multibanco. The nearest ATMs are about 10 minutes away by car from Outsite in a larger town like Rabo de Peixe or Capelas.
Food & Drink
Symbol Café and Café Esperança are both about a 3-4 minute walk from Outsite.

To add an extra guest to your reservation, it is $15 per night in locations outside of Europe, and €13 per night for locations in Europe. There is a 2-night minimum stay for extra guests. Please email the Reservations Team to register your guest ahead of time.
