Airport Transfer
Driving by Car
It takes 35 minutes to drive from Madeira Airport to Outsite Madeira - Ponta do Sol, depending on traffic.
Uber/Lyft/Taxi
Taxi (35 minutes, generally around €60)
While Uber is not in Madeira, taxis are widely available. Prices are meter dependent, and are typically higher at night. We recommend taxi driver, Elso Sebastião. He can be reached at +351 963 674 092, or at alojamentosebastiao@gmail.com. Let him know you're staying with Outsite, and you'll receive a flat rate of 42€ each way.
Public Transit
There is no direct bus from the airport (FNC) to Ponta do Sol. However, you could take the Aerobus from the airport to Mercado, and then the 142 line to Ponta do Sol. Outsite is a 2 minute walk away from the bus stop. This trip takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Parking
Outsite does not provide parking in Madeira. However, there is a 24/7 paid public parking lot in front of Outsite. It costs 20 cents every 15 minutes and it's free after 7 PM. The parking lot is open for payment Monday - Friday from 8 AM to 7 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 1 PM. Please know they only accept cash or Portuguese cards as payment methods. Alternatively, there is a free parking lot located on the left hand side of the shore, located behind the yellow house, at the base of the cliff.
Getting Around
Exploring Madeira on Foot
Ponta do Sol is fairly walkable, with cafes and a coworking space close by, and the beach just a minute away. However, to venture out of Ponta do Sol, it is helpful to have a car or scooter. Check out Myscootermadeira, located in Ponta do Sol. They offer scooter rentals at competitive prices.

7 minutes away by car, you'll find a Mercearia do Pita.

You can send mail and packages to the following address, but please be present when your mail is delivered.

Laundry & Cleaning
Common areas are cleaned three times per week.
There is a complimentary bi-weekly room cleaning for bi-weekly stays available upon request.
Washer, dryer, laundry detergent, iron, and ironing board are available.
To schedule a room cleaning or request fresh towels, please submit a request through the Outsite App or contact your Community Manager. Additional cleanings or towel requests may be subject to a fee. For further details, contact your Community Manager or Guest Services Support (reservations@outsite.co) and they will be happy to assist.
Food & Drink
There is a fully equipped kitchen ready for use; including filtered water, tea, coffee, and sugar.

For extensions or general enquiries, please email reservations@outsite.co.
To add an extra guest to your reservation, it is $15 per night in locations outside of Europe, and €13 per night for locations in Europe. There is a 2-night minimum stay for extra guests. Please email the Reservations Team to register your guest ahead of time.
