Meet Josh Ingleby, a digital nomad and creative explorer, sharing his journey of creativity, travel, and discovery.

Josh Ingleby, a multidisciplinary creator from Toronto, Canada, has taken his passion for design, animation, and artistic expression on the road.
My work tends to fall under Motion Design & 3D animation for brands, and my artistic explorations touch on installation art, sculpture, creative uses of technology, and more currently a focus on creating music. I tend to get swept up in projects that overlap with other creative disciplines, and conversations that drift into creative process, pursuits, and interests. Some fav projects have involved designing visuals for a ballet, a technically challenging high-concept music video, and immersive environments.

A few years ago a personal event shifted things and inspired an opportunity to let go of my place and live abroad. I’ve had some lengthy travel adventures in my 20’s, but a rooted base in Toronto replaced that for a while. Now that I’m living in several-month windows, I’ve got more clarity and intention on what I hope to pursue or achieve during these chapters.
Mexico City is such an inspiring place – with interesting architecture and design that I feel directly seeps into my daily interactions. The Outsite folks I’ve met and experienced the city with has taken so many of the challenges out of perpetually showing up to a new city solo. Shout-out to Edgar (Comm. Mgr.) for his solid read on music + events to share.
I’m currently in CDMX and focusing on only visiting Spanish-speaking countries to push myself to learn a new language. Next up I'm headed to Oaxaca City. I’ve heard SO much about both the city and the stay and am stoked to visit during Dia del Muerte.
Living without a primary residence has provided clarity towards what I miss most … which lately is some sort of musical expression. I really don’t enjoy being on my computer to create, so I’m currently traveling with a small sampler, synth, mixer, and a slew of ideas percolating. Beyond that, I’m usually quick to check what bands / concerts are coming up in a new city and enjoy the blend of familiarity with the unknown.
