Tulum: spiritual energy, Caribbean beach life and Instagram aesthetics all rolled into one.
Outsite Tulum is just set back from the beach, a sandy stretch peppered with taquerias, palapas and beach shacks, catering to the bohemian set now calling this small town 'home'. As you walk down the main beach road, you'll find yoga studios, cafes and juice stands, before you come across the Mayan Ruins crowning the north of the beach. In the main township there are grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, galleries and bars, but the real attraction in Quintana Roo is the cenotes. These are cold, subterranean bodies of water located around Tulum and the surrounding area - choose one and take a dip to see what everyone's talking about.
