Outsite Product Release 2024

We surveyed our Members in March 2024. When asked, you said you were looking for better rates, more flexible cancellation, and more (and improved) locations. We’re now very happy to share our latest product changes since that survey. 

All product changes here apply to bookings made as of today, they do not apply to bookings made before today. 

Outsite Deals Hub & Non Refundable Rates

When asked what challenges you were facing, many of you listed the cost of living. You can now book non-refundable rates when browsing for rooms on Outsite.co. 

Non-refundable rates are available from 30 nights in advance, and offer the best rate on any Outsite room. 

We're also happy to share our new Deals Hub (outsite.co/deals), as well as direct links to the best deals when browsing. So you can see them when you need them, at the time of booking - as well as having an easy place to browse for inspiration.

More Flexible Cancellation Policies 

Your travel plans are flexible, so your cancellation policy should accommodate that. The cancellation policy is now more flexible for those on shorter stays, and remains the same for longer periods. Check the new cancellation policy.

Extra Guest Discounts

The extra guest fee is still 15$ or 13€ per night (depending on region), but you will now receive a discount on the total amount you pay for your extra guest, in accordance with the Rate or Length of Stay you booked. 

The discount for extra guests only applies if you add your extra guest at the point of booking on outsite.co, and they are staying with you for the duration of your trip. 

For example, if you book with an extra guest, on a non-refundable rate, that discount also applies to your extra guest fee.

If you have a guest staying with you for part of your stay, and it is less than 6 nights, and your reservation is discounted due to Length of Stay, the Length of Stay discount does not apply to the extra guest. 

Rewards Simplification 

When we surveyed Members in January of 2024, we asked about what you value most about your Membership. Answers included community, flexible bookings, discounts and a variety of locations. Answers did not include the rewards system, so in order to put more resources behind what our Members value, we’re pairing back our rewards system for 1% rewards on all stays.  This will apply to bookings made after August 29th, midnight, UTC. 

You’ll still be able to use your Rewards credits as normal - no changes here. 

New Locations 

We wish we could create new locations within a few months, but it takes slightly longer to build an Outsite. However, we have now introduced Zoku properties onto the website, allowing you to book discounted stays across European cities. Members have been very happy with this experience so far, and it means you have access to more locations in the Outsite network.

As for new Outsite locations, you can expect to see Outsite Barcelona and Malaga launching soon. We hope these make the Outsite experience even better for you from start to finish.
